It is with great pleasure that Take Care announces the promotion of Alicia Uelmen, RN to the position of Clinical Services Administrator of Take Care Private Duty Home Health effective immediately. In Alicia’s new role, she will assume administrator responsibilities for both Take Care of Sarasota which includes the Sarasota, Venice and Port Charlotte offices and Take Care of Manatee. Alicia has demonstrated a dedication and commitment to Take Care which we know will continue as she takes on this new position.
As President for Take Care Home Health and Take Care Advisor, Courtney Wise Snyder coordinates and facilitates daily operations, ensuring a continuity of character and consistency of values that enable both companies to provide outstanding, services. Take Care specializes in personal care, whether in the client’s home or facility and helps clients navigate their health care with registered nurse geriatric care managers.
Mary Pedersen, SPHR, is promoted to Human Resources Director for the corporate office of Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care, overseeing all human resources operations for more than 500 employees across four offices of Take Care. Take Care is the leading private duty home health care agency on Florida's Gulf Coast. Take Care's emphasis on personal attention and quality of care has garnered awards and peer recognition such as the Sarasota Herald-Tribune's Readers Choice Award, since 2003, for the "Best of the Best in Home Health Care," the Venice Gondolier Sun's Best of Venice award, also since 2003, and the Peoples' Choice from the Bradenton Herald.

Courtney R. Wise, MSG, Executive Director of Take Care Advisor, recently accepted the position to lead as Volunteer Chair for the Sarasota Young Professional Group Volunteer Committee. Wise recently was named one of the Gulf Coast Business Review's 40 Under 40 and also chosen as 2010 Young Professional of the Year finalist at the Frank G. Berlin Small Business Awards. She is a Sarasota native, with a masters in gerontology from the University of Southern California and a marketing degree from the University of Florida. Aside from YPG membership, Courtney is a Big Sister in the Big Brother Big Sister program in addition to being a part of the Junior League of Sarasota, where volunteering is a significant part of membership requirements.
