Take Care Celebrates National Nurses Week, May 6 – 12, 2009

Each year, National Nurses Week is celebrated and this year it lasts from May 6, 2009 to May 12, 2009. May 6, 2009 is National Nurses Day and on the close of the week, May 12, 2009 we celebrate Florence Nightingale’s birthday who is the founder of modern nursing.

“The American Nurses Association (ANA) has announced the theme of National Nurses Week 2009, ‘Nurses: Building a Healthy America. This year’s theme reflects the commitment nurses make every day in building a healthy America for the public we serve,’ said ANA President Rebecca M. Patton, MSN, RN, CNOR.”
