Erika Wise Borland, MA

Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, Erika leads and oversees the development and growth of profitable new business and maintains effective community relationships, delivered in accordance with Take Care’s organizational strategy. With a background in business, publishing, journalism, and editing, Erika brings to Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care and Take Care Advisor her skills in business development alongside marketing and communications.

She works closely with all departments of Take Care to further advance their marks. From personal relations to graphic design, Erika creates an opportunity for Take Care to provide the public with a wealth of information on both companies. She is the liaison between the media and Take Care, creates the advertising and design materials, and provides support in various communication areas. Erika also manages the Take Care website and social media components encouraging interactivity and aiding in the ease of information dissemination. These media outlets are additional vehicles to help explain the inherent value in private duty home health care and RN geriatric care management services, exclusively provided through Take Care.

In addition, Erika oversees the Scheduling department leading the team in innovation and mentoring next-level leadership.

Previously, Erika worked for publishing houses in Manhattan and Boston in editorial and publicity capacities in higher education textbooks and in trade. She received her bachelor of science in journalism with a minor in business administration from the University of Florida and obtained her master of arts in publishing and writing from Emerson College.
