March 16, 2020: Update

Hello – Take Care continues to monitor the rapidly changing events related to the COVID-19 pandemic and truly appreciate the exceptional care you are committed to providing during this time. Our primary concern is the safety of our clients and employees. With that in mind, we are providing the following information and protocol changes to continue to provide care as safely as possible.

  • Your schedule will remain the same unless you are contacted by scheduling about a change
  • You will be unable to access Take Care offices, however, if you are in need of assistance or supplies, please call Take Care for instructions.
  • Clients are being informed that they should remain in their homes; and that caregivers will not be taking the client out unless it is urgent and approved by a nursing supervisor.
  • If a client is in need of supplies, please contact Nursing as we will handle each situation on a case by case basis.

As a reminder, we continue to ask all employees to take the following steps to reduce the transmission of COVID-19:

  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds. Remember: Our current protocol is that you wash your hands with liquid soap as soon as you enter a client’s home.
  • Cover your mouth with tissues whenever you sneeze, and discard used tissues in the trash.
  • Avoid people who are sick with respiratory symptoms.
  • Wipe down frequently touched surfaces such as your phone, countertops, light switches, door handles, etc. at the beginning and ending of your shift.

Please contact Nursing with any concerns or questions and thank you for your attention to this very important matter.

What Our Clients Have to Say

Sue contacted and vetted more than 20 care providers for my very important client and quickly weeded out those that were not up to par with the high standards set by Take Care. My client was very appreciative of the referrals shared and was equally impressed with our close community contacts who were willing to help us help our clients. This is yet another example of why so many of us feel comfortable working with and sharing our clients with Sue Wise and her company, Take Care.
