March 19, 2020: Update

As you are all aware, we are in the midst of a challenging moment as we all are learning about the coronavirus. However, Take Care is absolutely certain that we will get through this together. The Leadership Team and Clinical Directors communicate at a minimum of twice daily to focus on how we can maintain a healthy and safe environment for you, for our Clients, and Staff.

During this period of uncertainty, we want you to know that we are constantly amazed by you, our caregivers, being on the front lines doing everything you can to make sure our clients have the care and support they need.

We continue to work in keeping you informed of changes and will get the information to you in two ways – by email and by adding the content of these emails to the Resource Center on the Mobile App. Don’t have the app? Instructions for Mobile App Training and download support listed below.

Below is information important for you to know:

  • Payroll is being processed as normal and you continue to be paid each Friday. However, we ask that you do not pick up your paystubs at this time. If you receive a live check, please call to make arrangements to pick it up.
  • As previously mentioned, access to Take Care offices is being limited to office employees only. Clients, caregivers and vendors are asked to call Take Care for all communication needs— in-person visits are not permitted at this time. While we will miss the face to face contact with our caregivers over the next few weeks, it is important for us to allow for social distancing during this time for everyone’s safety.
  • Communication:
    • We must have honest and open communication regarding travel plans and any cold/flu like symptoms. If you are experiencing cold/flu symptoms, please contact Nursing ASAP.
    • We cannot predict the spread of an illness such as COVID-19.
  • Travel Screening
    • If you travel outside of a 60 mile radius from our offices, then we ask that you notify Nursing in advance of traveling and/or taking a shift.
    • If you have traveled through any airport within the past 14 days; or traveled on a cruise ship, you will need to be off shift for 14 days.
      • Please note that if you work with clients residing in a facility, further restrictions may apply based on each facility’s protocol.

Don’t have the Mobile App yet? You can now be trained over the phone in the comfort of your own home – it only takes 30 to 45 minutes. To make that happen, please call Take Care and schedule a training time with Michelle.

Sue, Courtney and Erika appreciate what each of you are doing to continue to provide such great care for our clients.

What Our Clients Have to Say

My wife had recent surgery and needed care around the clock. The support I received from the office nurse on care  placement was exceptional. The care provided 12 hours nightly by the nurse, Stacy, was superb. She was above and beyond professional. We could not have done it with out her. Thanks to all involved.
