Take Care Supports the American Cancer Society

Susanne S. Wise, RN, MBA

Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care and Susanne S. Wise, RN, MBA, Take Care‘s owner and executive administrator, proudly sponsored the American Cancer Society’s 10th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball. Take Care donated more than $3,500 in support of the fight against cancer.

For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means that we helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year.

Take Care helped celebrate the lifesaving work that happens each and every day at the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. With our generous support and participation in the American Cancer Society Cattle Barons’ Ball we have helped to continue to save lives and create more birthdays by helping people to stay well and get well, find cures, and fight back against a disease.

What Our Clients Have to Say

I was a so nervous about both my parents but knowing they are not driving and that they have someone caring for them and managing their medications on a daily basis was a relief—not sure if I can even explain how much it means to me. I just started a new position in China and knowing my parents are safe is a blessing. You all have worked to establish a way to keep them safe in their transition of accepting care.
